About us

Who We Are
Youth for nature conservancy (YNC) is a youth led non- profit organization for research, practice, and advocacy and committed to ensure better environment and natural resource management to benefit the poor and vulnerable. The non-profit company is based in Kampala Uganda; it was born out of the need of the youth to promote practical solutions that will help to create a healthy environment for the future generations for socio-economic development. Through lobbying, research, community education YNC works with local communities to ensure that they are strengthenedĀ  towards climate change, environmental conservation to promote socio- economic development.

  • To promote awareness about the importance of nature conservation.
  • To facilitate knowledge exchange among young people in environmental conservation and management
  • To influence energy and environmental policies that spurs community development.
  • To work with youth in natural resource management, importance and conservation for the generations to come.
  • To promote favorable environment of the operation of civil society to gather knowledge and understanding of conserving nature for sustainable livelihoods.
  • To initiate strategies that drive environmental management and conservation to protect the rare species by restoring their habitat.
